FISCHER USA Year End Giving
Who knew smoked meats, nacho bars, or chili cook-offs could help so many causes?
FISCHER USA takes corporate social responsibility to heart, and the year of 2022 alone, the FISCHER USA team utilized quarterly fundraising feasts to aid non-profits they care about, in addition to also raising money for the annual United Way of Racine County campaign.
At the beginning of each new year, all FISCHER USA employees are asked for the names of non-profit organizations they care about. Four non-profits from the list are then randomly selected for one quarter of fundraising. In 2022, the selected non-profits were the Lynzay Legois Memorial Scholarship fund at St. Lucy’s School (Q1), the Peace Learning Center (Q2), the Susan G. Komen Foundation of Southeast Wisconsin (Q3), and the Wounded Warrior Project (Q4).
The quarterly fundraising feasts entailed a smoked meat fest, nacho bar and the employee’s favorite, ''Trish’s Chili Cook-off.'' They're as tasty as they sound! FISCHER USA team members donate and prepare food, and in the spirit of giving, provide a small donation so they can enjoy the fundraising feast. Along with the luncheon, a 50/50 raffle is held to benefit the organization for the month. FISCHER USA then matched what the team members raised.
- Lynzay Legois Memorial Scholarship fund of St. Lucy’s School: $1,232.00 + FISCHER USA company match = $2,464.00
- Peace Learning Center: $524.00 + FISCHER USA company match = $1,048.00
- Susan G. Komen Foundation: $974.00 + FISCHER USA company match = $1,948.00
- Wounded Warrior Project: $692.00 + FISCHER USA company match = $1,384.00
Along with our quarterly fundraising efforts, our employees also contributed to our annual United Way of Racine County campaign. This year’s campaign raised $6,652.00 to benefit a variety of worthy programs in our community. Team FISCHER USA, along with Corporate’s generous match, donated an impressive $13,496.00 in 2022.
Thank you to all our FISCHER USA team members for their generosity (and for their tasty chili, too)!
